FOR SALE is this 2007 Gibson Les Paul Studio EBONY, finished in black and built by Gibson USA on October 29, 2007. Serial #030270360..

This isn’t a spotless collector guitar that’s been sitting under somebody’s bed for twenty years. This one has been places!!

The neck!! It’s substantial—thick, solid…like a battle-axe-like in your hands. The guitar plays beautifully, and plugged into an amp it delivers exactly what you expect from an older Gibson—dirty, raw, thick, aggressive…AWESOME!!

Two covered humbuckers, Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, black speed knobs and Gibson Deluxe tuners…just your basic Les Paul recipe.

The black finish has plenty of personality. There are normal scratches, surface marks and some grime/adhesive residue from stickers that were on the guitar years ago. I have deliberately NOT tried to aggressively remove it. Gibson uses a nitrocellulose-type finish, and I’d rather leave some old sticker residue than start experimenting with solvents and damage a 19-year-old Gibson finish.

So I’m leaving it alone.

You can clean it professionally if you want.

Or don’t.

Personally, I think it fits the guitar.

It includes the OEM Gibson Les Paul hard case with white plush interior, which is also in very nice usable condition.

This guitar will also be one of the guitars available in the NEW Lodo Drum Guy studio backline collection in Denver, so visiting and touring musicians will have access to a real American Gibson rather than some generic rental guitar.

If you’re looking for a pristine Les Paul to photograph and stare at, there are plenty of those out there. This isn’t it. If you want one you can plug into a Marshall, turn it up and actually play, this is the one!! Plenty of Marshalls available too ;)
